3. Rotate Your Own Tires
This job requires a jack, four jack stands, a tire iron, and some muscles. Safely jack each corner of your vehicle up and let it rest on the jack stand. Then remove all four wheels from the vehicle. Check your owners manual for the correct rotation path for the wheels and tires on equipped on your vehicle. Also, be sure that each and every lug nut is tightened. We suggest the use of a torque wrench to ensure lug nuts don’t come off during vehicle movement which could lead to the wheel coming off of the vehicle. Rotating your tires will prolong the life and ride quality. While the tires are off the vehicle you can inspect them for damage or improper wear as well.
