10 Rare American Muscle Cars You’ll Probably Never See On The Streets
4. 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible
The Pontiac GTO was, and still is, one of the greats of the Muscle car arena. When Pontiac stripped down the GTO and shoved a 455 cubic motor inside its engine bay the Judge was brought to life. There weren’t many cars on the streets or the strip that could touch a 1971 Judge GTO. It was lighter and produced more power than many of its rivals. The GTOs and Judges were built using the Tempest platform. All of the parts are interchangeable so many people today convert Tempests into GTOs or Judges. Real Judge models are very hard to find but the rarest of them all are the convertibles. Pontiac had originally planned on assembling 207 of the drop top models but only 17 were completed due to stricter emissions laws. Finding a true 1971 GTO Judge convertible is just like finding a needle in a haystack.
