2.  Mazda 6

The Mazda 6 is another unforeseen vehicle that managed to find its way onto this list.  The mid sized Japanese sedan replaced the aging 626 and brought about a much needed revolution to the Mazda name.  Many of the auto makers offerings had been viewed as extremely drab and hundreds of thousands of customers had jumped ship for better looking and better performing alternatives.  With the release of the Mazda 3 and 6 the auto maker was able to draw some of its lost fans back into the fold.  The Mazda 6 shined bright and still does today but it is still one of the most deadly cars on American roads.  54 people out every 1 million accidents involving a Mazda 6 have lost their lives.
