What Were They Thinking??? 10 Of The Strangest Cars From The 1990s
5. Subaru SVX
The Subaru SVX was the Japanese auto makers first take on the luxury car market. It was designed as a prototype car for the 1989 Tokyo Auto Show. Subaru received enormous amounts of praise on the car during the show. So much in fact that they decided to put the SVX into production. However the public didn’t share the show goers admiration of the car. Most found the vehicle oddly shaped and the mid level window openings a pain at fast food windows and toll booths. The Subaru SVX was available for sale from 1992-1996 in the United States and not very many of them actually made it into the garages of owners. Some Subaru lovers buy these cars up and hoard them these days due to their rarity.
